Challenges of Boat Transport

Transporting a boat is a complex task. However, thanks to our expertise, we can guarantee a smooth process and safely transport your boat to or from the Balearic Islands to Germany.

Insurance and Storage

Your boat is insured during transport according to CMR law, with coverage of 8.33 Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) per gross weight, equivalent to approximately 10.00 EUR per kilogram. Additionally, we offer a cost-effective supplementary insurance with 100% coverage.

We have ample space in our warehouse in Mallorca for winter storage if needed.

How does boat transport work?

1. Prepare boat for transport

We recommend planning transport as far in advance as possible.
The following steps should be observed:

  • Check the interior and exterior of your boat for any damage and report it to us.
  • Remove all valuables as they are not insured.
  • Pump out dirty water and other liquids.
  • Also empty the trash and water containers
  • Remove most of the fuel.
  • Disconnect the battery and store all battery cables.
  • Stow life jackets and other loose items in compartments and secure all doors.

2. The loading

The maximum dimensions for transporting boats with our trucks are: ​
13 meters length x 2.4 meters width x 2.50 meters height

The following steps must be taken into account:

  • Get the boat out of the water and organize loading.
  • Boats are loaded onto trailers via a ramp.
  • Boats without trailers are loaded using a crane. The boat is supported and lashed with wooden trestles. ​

We can easily organize loading on Mallorca. The organization in Germany is taken over by the customer. ​

3. The unloading

Your boat can be unloaded either at the desired destination port or in our warehouse for winter storage.

Storage takes place in our warehouse on Mallorca. Your watercraft can be stored safely and dry in our secured and monitored warehouse. Property insurance for the duration of storage can easily be taken out through us. Just ask us.

We can organize unloading at a port in Mallorca. The customer is responsible for organizing unloading in Germany.

  • A boat is unloaded onto a trailer in Germany using a ramp.
  • A boat without a trailer is unloaded using a crane.
